Thesis (in french!)

I am an astromer (astronome-adjoint) at the Strasbourg Observatory, in the CDS (Centre de Donnees de Strasbourg) group. I work on the interstellar medium in nearby galaxies as well as on the Virtual Observatory.

My main science interests are on the properties of dust in nearby galaxies, with a special interest on the Magellanic Clouds. I am part of the SMC-SAGE and HERITAGE programs to map the Magellanic Clouds with Spitzer and Herschel.

From 2008 to mid-2009, I was a CNES postdoc at the Strasbourg Observatory, working on the "Virtual Observatory and extended emission".

From 2005 to 2007, I did a postdoc at Caltech with George Helou. I was part of the SINGS project (Spitzer Infrared Nearby Galaxies Survey) and in particular in the IRS subteam. I worked in particular on the analysis on infrared fine structure lines originating from ionized gas in these nearby galaxies.

From 2002 to 2005, I was doing my Ph.D between the CDS (Centre de donnees de Strasbourg -- France) and the IAS (institut d'Astrophysique Spatiale -- Orsay, France) under the supervision of Francois Boulanger and Daniel Egret. My subject was the interstellar medium and the dust grain cycle in the small Magellanic Cloud.
